Getting there
Wedding Venue
Bells at Killcare Boutique Hotel, Restaurant & Spa.
Traveling by car
Bells at Killcare is a 90-min drive north of Sydney, or a 13-minute drive from Ettalong Beach (the nearest town on the Central Coast).
Traveling by public transport
There is a train from Sydney to the Central Coast, the trip takes around 90-mins. You can catch the train from Central Station, Town Hall or Wynyard, just don’t forget you will need to change trains at Hornsby if you get on at Town Hall or Wynyard (the train from Central doesn’t require a change). The closest station to the wedding venue is Woy Woy, it’s a 16-min drive to Bells and 7-min drive to the nearby town of Ettalong Beach.
For those coming from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, there is also a 30-min ferry from Palm Beach to Ettalong Beach.
Bells at Killcare Boutique Hotel, Restaurant & Spa.
For those wanting to treat themselves, the venue does offer accommodation and has several rooms remaining. If you are wanting to book a room at Bells their website only shows room rates including a nightly 3-course dinner, which you won’t be needing if you’re attending the wedding. It’s best to call them directly to book a room without dinner included, or book on Mr and Mrs Smith which also shows the room rates without the daily dinner package. Bells has a 2-night minimum over the weekend, so we would recommend you stay the Friday and Saturday night if you’re wanting to stay. The hotel is not currently available on booking.com, which is why you may see it is sold out on that site. If you can’t find the room type you’re looking for you can also reach out to Steph as she has some rooms on hold.
Mantra Ettalong Beach
The Mantra Ettalong Beach also has a number of rooms available, from studios to two bedroom apartments. It is in the same building as BASE Holidays and both are in the heart of Ettalong town so are a quick walk to any shops and restaurants. The Mantra does not have a 2-night minimum so is suitable for anyone wanting to stay for just the night of the wedding. If you’re an Accor member you’ll get a much better deal on the rate.
Airbnb and Holiday Homes
There are a large number of holiday houses of varying sizes in the nearby areas of Killcare, Killcare Heights, Hardys Bay and Ettalong Beach available on Airbnb, booking.com and local short term accommodation sites. Many of the Airbnbs in the Killcare Heights region are walking distance to the venue.
BASE Holidays - Resort Apartments
We have negotiated an event rate of $590 for two nights with BASE Holidays - Resort Apartments, they are currently holding all 17 rooms in their hotel for any guests who wish to book this rate. They do have a 2-night minimum stay on weekends and there are two room types, 1 bedroom apartments and studios that all contain sofa beds. If you would like to book BASE you can call the hotel directly and mention our wedding, Lauren or Rob from the hotel know about this offer.
